What is cleantech?

Clean technology or cleantech is any process, product, or service that reduces negative environmental impacts through significant energy efficiency improvements, the sustainable use of resources, and environmental protection activities.

What is the Cleantech Academy?

The Cleantech Academy is a collaborative initiative between the Government of PEI, Holland College, and the University of Prince Edward Island. The Academy aims to inspire and advance leaders and change-makers to accelerate the path to net zero from interdisciplinary perspectives.

What is the Cleantech Park?

The 60-acre business park offers a supportive environment for cleantech companies at all stages of development. Here, businesses can access financial and human resources support to nurture both early-stage and established technologies as they continue to grow and evolve.

Where is the Cleantech Academy?

The Cleantech Academy will be located in the Cleantech Innovation Centre in Georgetown, PEI. It is a state-of-the-art, net zero building space and is slated to open in 2025. The Cleantech Innovation Centre provides a collaborative environment for students, industry professionals, and government officials to come together and drive innovation forward.

The Cleantech Innovation Centre will pair Cleantech Academy with new businesses in the Park to provide students with hands-on experience and help cleantech firms expand.
